Stan Hertzman is the Curator at Awakenings. A native Cincinnatian having graduated from Walnut Hills HS with honors in art, Stan is long time Hyde Park resident. In 2004, he was named Hyde Park Person of the Year. He received his BBA from UC majoring in Marketing and Management. During his last year at UC, he founded The Ajaye Entertainment Corporation, in the seventies started Umbrella Artists Management Inc. and, in the early eighties, The Strugglebaby Recording Company. Although music, record production and recording are his primary interests and business, it was photography, in the late seventies, and, then, digital imaging in the nineties, that also piqued his interest. In the mid eighties he formed Sotto Vocè Design through which he art directed many album covers which were released on major labels. His photography has also appeared thereon, in trade magazine articles, advertisements and on posters. In 2003, Stan launched PhotographYmaging to further explore photographic imaging. In 2006, while phasing out of the music business, he became a licensed Realtor and works in residential sales in Sibcy Cline’s Hyde Park office. Every Friday evening, Stan, aka BIG FISH, can be found at Awakenings from 7:30-10:30pm singing and playing guitar. |
